Tuesday, July 26th. Elvin Hooper of Hatteras Island joins us to share his stories of life on the Outer Banks. Elvin, author of two books (Chicamacomico and Gull Island), shares his love of music, stories and island life.

Wednesday, July 27th. Come hear about the different types of boats that have frequented Ocracoke through the years. Kids get to paint their very own sailboat to take home with them. $5.00 fee per craft.

Thursday, July 28th. Join island native and Ocracoke fig expert, Chester Lynn, as he shares information about the wide variety of figs that grow on the island and how they are used. Fig cake and preserves will be available to taste!

Friday, July 29th. Join islander Emmet Temple as he shares history about the island and the museum and gives an insiders view about what it's like to grow up on Ocracoke in the modern era while surrounded by history.

Tuesday, August 2nd. Join avid kayaker, Grace West, to hear stories of kayaking around Ocracoke in the Pamlico Sound.

Wednesday, August 3rd. Come find out what critters live on Ocracoke and hear a story about Digby the Only Dog. Then kids get to make a cute shell mouse to take home with them. $5 fee per craft

Thursday, August 4th. Ronnie Ciccone, manager of The Castle B & B will share interesting stories of Sam Jones and how The Castle came to be such a defining presence on the harbor of Silver Lake.
