OPS Administrator, Julia Howard, moved to the island in 1972 from her home state of Maryland.  She worked for many years in the local family business, Village Craftsmen, and later served in various other capacities in Ocracoke’s retail world.  Her tenure at the museum began in January 2000.  Julia has a son and a daughter as well as two grandsons and two granddaughters.
